Broomfield Genealogy Society Monthly Meeting Planned – Broomfield Enterprise

The Broomfield Genealogy Society’s program for June is “Use WikiTree – the world tree to research your ancestors!”, presented by Mags Gaulden on June 20 at 6:30 p.m. The presentation starts at 7 p.m. with an informal meeting starting at 6 p.m.

Gaulden’s program explains how WikiTree can help you with your genealogy research. Starting with you, adding your direct family lines and connecting to existing ancestor profiles. WikiTree is a worldwide family tree with one profile per person who lived. It’s an amazing tree with an overwhelming amount of information and cross-references and database and DNA features and… whatever your family lines are, it will explain how to connect your lines and connect to some of the features that make WikiTree what it is.

Gaulden is a professional genealogist specializing in genetic genealogy as the founder of Grandma’s Genes in Ottawa, Ontario. Growing up in a family full of family historians, Gaulden was ready to become a genealogist.

BGS is still meeting virtually, but hopes to resume the in-person meeting as soon as details can be ironed out.

For this meeting, existing members of the company will receive a Zoom invitation via email. For guests and non-members wishing to attend, email the Membership Director at [email protected] for a Zoom meeting invite. For more information about BGS and its activities, visit www.BroomfieldGenSoc.org.
