East Morgan County Library News: Genealogy program scheduled for August 15 at Brush Library – The Fort Morgan Times

The East Morgan County Library District offers a wide range of programs for all ages. As summer draws to a close, we’re sad to see some programs leaving for the year and excited for new ones!

While Story Time and the Teen & Tween Book and Move Club will take place on Friday, August 12, our children’s and teen programs will take a break from August 13 through September 15. There will be no programs for children or teenagers during this period. time as we prepare for the year ahead. Stay tuned for updates to children’s programming in September!

Our adult programming will continue, starting with gentle yoga on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Plus, on Tuesdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., you can bring your own craft or project you’ve been working on and join the adult craft group! You might just get new information or spark new craft ideas!

The writing workshop will take place on August 11 at 6 p.m. Bring something you’ve written and receive encouragement or ideas about your work, and work with peers while enjoying light refreshments.

If you like non-fiction and family history, our genealogy program might intrigue you! On Monday, August 15 at 6 p.m., join us for a program exploring different topics in genealogy.

On August 25, we will be holding our “Adults Only” program. This month, you have the opportunity to embroider a felt bookmark! Registration is required as space is limited, so please call the library or drop by to register!

If all these events weren’t exciting enough, the popular market is on Wednesday evenings! Every Wednesday from now until September 14 from 4-7 p.m. there will be exciting vendors in the Library Park! Come listen to music, find delicious homemade food items, explore handmade items that are made locally, browse the used book sale, pop in to find items to borrow, and more!

If you’re looking for more adventure before the winter hits, we still have Colorado State Parks backpacks for you to check out! They’re loaded with a day pass to state parks, information, binoculars, and activity ideas for all ages! They can be collected at reception for a week.

As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 970-842-4596 or drop by to chat with a member of staff! We look forward to seeing you the next time you’re in!
